Garnier Moisture Bomb Multi-Protecting mist

Great skin is healthy-looking skin with no imperfections, no visable pores, no irregularities nor sings of fatigue. That's why Garnier has created SkinActive: skincare ranges adapted for each need using active ingredients from nature - antioxidants - and combining them with well-known skincare actives for great, healthy looking skin every day.

Every morning I wake up for school run. The harsh weather and wind doesnt make my skin look beautiful with fine lines. So i tried Garnier Moisture Bomb Multi-Protecting Hydrating Mist which has UV protection. It was easy to use(I can use it on make up or bare skin) has a lovely fragrance and made my skin feel fresh and awake... It would be perfect for plane journeys as it is 75ml bottle and would fit in liquid bag to make your face glowing and refreshed.

Aveeno baby milk

In my days of baby care we used the less costly J*hnsons baby products, exclusively, with no worries. However now, with my 2nd child (5yrs difference) and great nephew/niece, I understand it is more important to guard against allergic reactions to baby toiletries. The Aveeno active naturals Baby daily care range are very popular with their parents who appreciate the calming, safe and soothing qualities of soap free, oat based creams, baths and lotions.

Wiping a baby's bottom with this cleansing milk, using a cotton ball, means getting the little one's skin fresh and clean again, whilst leaving a barrier to protect and soothe. The milk has the lightest of scents, wholesome and fresh, nothing more. Hopefully the infants will never suffer the ghastly redness and sore, even broken, skin of the infamous nappy rash that was such a worry in the years before the recipes for such care products were approached environmentally and with the advice of Doctors.

Of course the soft, safe touch of this milk can also be enjoyed by grown ups, it is helpful when removing make up, cleaning away the marks of the day, after gardening, crafting, cooking. Family members who suffer from eczema adore this brand. 300ml is a generous size and one of a range that would make a most acceptable baby shower, or celebration of birth gift.
It is quite pricey but when there will be promotions or sales I will definitely  going to stock up for the future.

Ta ta everyone!

Teething time. Little helper to go thru biting period. Silicone necklace

I dont wear jewelry since my baby girl born but i read online that there is neckace to wear for mums and the babies chew on it. So i gave a go and bought this silicone teething necklace. It is a great compromise, as I can continue to wear gorgeous jewellery every day, without worrying about it ending up in your little one's mouth. I wear it at home. The 9 silicone beads are perfect size for soothing sore gums, and their shape and colours distracts my baby if I want her to stay in one place while changing a nappy, or while she is on my hands.
It is safe for me too. It has white clasp so if my daughter would pull it it will easily open. Overall I am happy with the purchase. My baby is happy so I am happy too.

If you like to know the price  it's  £7.99 at the moment on amazon.co.uk

Calpol soothe and care vapour plug & nightlight #breathewelltosleepwell #GotItFree

We all know how is British weather. This year there was no day with snow to make snowman, snow angel or play with snowballs.  Instead of that there were storms, winds and lots of rain which causing flu and runny nosies.

Everything started with eye infection. My older daughter catched it somehow ( I have no clue whatsoever) then after couple days Mia catched it too. The following day I noticed that Kamile (older) girl has runny nose and she spreaded it to EVERYONE including me.
Thank God that I got CALPOL vapour plug. So I used in my bedroom next to Mias bed.
After 10minutes I was able to smell menthol, lavender and eucalyptus in room. The smell was divine. I didn't know if it worked for Mia and if she was able to breath through her nose because the first time I plugged it in it was her nap time (11a.m). So I gave it a second go for night time. It stayed whole night and I could breath easily too. So it works! It really does miracles to your nose. The night light is a good invention too. But not for me. It was annoying and Mia was keep waking up and the room was too bright so I covered the light.

Thanks CALPOL for the invention. It eases parents and babies life during the British weather when the viruses are everywhere.

Have a good day folks!

Thursday, 9 February 2017

Hello everyone. I feel so old now ( turned 27 last weekend). I am not into baking but had to make an effort because Kamile loves home made biscuits, cakes, buns. So I choose easy recipe. I like lemon cheesecake. The decorations were made by Kamile.
Ingredients

16 Hobnob biscuits  (makes the Base crunchy)
50g unsalted butter, melted
250g mascarpone  cheese
200 single scream
397g tin condensed milk
3 lemons, zested  and juiced

METHOD
  1. Stir together the digestive biscuits and melted butter. Empty into a 23cm springform cake tin and press out level. Leave to chill in the fridge while you make the base. (Use a smaller tin if you want a thicker base.)
  2. Mix together, really well, the mascarpone cheese, cream, condensed milk and lemon zest. Slowly add the lemon juice to the mix a bit at a time. I use an electric mixer and usually spend about 20 minutes mixing these ingredients together. I find the longer you mix, the thicker the topping gets in the bowl.
  3. Pour onto your chilled base, then return to the fridge for a few hours for it to set.
  4. Tip

I usually make it the evening before I need it and it sets perfectly.
So this is how I spend last Friday.

Friday treats

Yesterday was a busy day. Waking up, changing Mia, while.she had her breakfast(plain toast)  I had   to wake Kamile up. She is so lazy as me and don't like to wake  up early. So she complained that she don't want to  go school.  I had to explain that every child goes school and parents goes to work. So she woke up. Then while I was making coffee received a call from my friend. So after dropping my older child to school had to stop at my friends place to pick up some letters and drop off  baby wipes. Came back home just on time to breastfeed Mia. Obviously  she fell asleep so I rushed to kitchen for cup a tea.

I had Taylors of Harrogate the. Rose lemonade infusion. I poured hot water in a cup and could smell roses in seconds. The flavours were bursting in my mouth. It was sweet too ( usually I don't use sugar for my tea or coffee). It was little bit too sweet to my liking. Maybe because of lemons. Oh well it went a treat together  with cream&strawberries. So my five a day started well.

Coming back to reality

It's end of January. I can't believe my baby girl (feels like she was born  yesterday) is almost 1 year old.
She was just crying and eating ohh let's not forget and pooping part! Now she is all over the  place. You will hear everyone saying to her "NO!", "Don't" When she tries to climb unattended on sofa or tries to crawl into kitchen to nick Teslas' food. She copies laugh, cough.

The time is ticking  and in 2 months time I will be back to work. On Monday  I am having meeting with my HR and Manager. It will be so strange to step inside my old workplace as I heard lot of changed when I left. Oh well, I will try to adjust. I feel like using my whole holiday hours to stay more with my 2 beauties. I am not coming back on full-time that's for sure. I can't miss their childhood and every single achievement.

This means saving money where I can. Participating in surveys and product testings. You don't know the feeling when my older daughter Kamile is coming from school and find envelopes with HER name. The face becomes so bright and you can see her smiling. She enjoys opening letters. On weekends she waits  for 11a.m. at that time postman  comes. Then she sorts out everyone's letters and gives personally. My little postgirl ❤ ...

In next post I will write about some of my favourite teas & coffees and great deals.

Hope to see you soon.

BLUE MONDAY. WHAT IS THAT?

How many Blue Monday themed posts and articles have you seen today?
The story goes that ‘Blue Monday’ is the ‘most depressing day of the year’ based on a calculation of factors such as weather, debt levels, time since Christmas and time since failing our new year’s resolutions. In truth, Blue Monday was created in 2006 by PR people to sell summer holidays - to hook us into spending money to make us feel better. In the decade since Blue Monday was conceived in an advertising agency brainstorm, public awareness of mental health has improved greatly, but there is still a lot to do.
The truth is that we all have mental health, and whether it is Blue Monday or any of the other 364 days this year; we will all face days when we find it hard to cope for whatever reason. This week, one in six of us will experience a common mental health problem like anxiety or depression. In our workplaces and in our circles of friends, there are people living with mental health problems, or just keeping themselves afloat, whether we know it or not. The Blue Monday myth - like all good legends - has some elements of truth. We know that some people living with mental health problems find the winter months harder. If the Blue Monday hype has drawn your attention to your mental health, or made you think about how a friend, colleague, or loved one might be feeling then it has done some good.
Together with Unum we’re reclaiming Blue Monday and encouraging people to take steps all year round to protect their mental health both at work and in day to day life. Here’s some ideas:
Take time to recognise your mental health - It can be hard to recognise and make space for our feelings. When someone asks we usually say ‘I’m fine’ - but are we really? Try and check in with your feelings every day, asking yourself what’s happening, and what, if anything you need to make things better. It’s not easy - especially if things aren’t good. Try and practice being kind to yourself. Techniques like mindfulness can be helpful in learning to live in the moment without judgement. Even small changes in life like sleeping better, or taking more exercise can have a big impact. Whilst there’s a lot you can to boost your mental health, it’s always a good idea to speak to your GP if you are worried.
Take mental health to work - For many of us, our work is what gives us purpose, drive - and an income. Workplaces that promote mental health and support staff with mental health problems through thick and thin are more productive. People with mental health problems make up around 15% of the workforce. Those staff add £226bn of value to the economy every year.
Be there for someone else - reaching out with compassion to a friend or colleague and doing something for someone not only helps them, but also can boost your own mental health. Being there for someone with a mental health problem isn’t as hard as you might think. You don’t have to be a specialist to ask someone how they are doing, be present, and listen to their response.
Stand up to stigma - most people who experience mental health problems still face stigma and discrimination in the workplace. Showing empathy and saying ‘that’s not OK’ when you hear jokes or banter about mental health you can play your part in changing behaviours and making discrimination in mental health as unacceptable as discrimination on ground of race, gender, or sexual orientation..

How I save money

As you all know  I need to save £2000 this year. The reason for saving is December holiday. So in this post I will write how I am trying to save money now.

The survey pages: Pinecone, Panelbase, Mingle. These 3 are paying out money(tried and tested myself).

The product testing. It saves money too. You don't need to buy the products you get to test or if you are sure you will not use it you can always sell it or give someone as a present. The Web pages I use is TESCO ORCHARD, BZZAGENT.CO.UK, ALBA SCIENCE, MUM PANEL, MUMSURVEY, THE INSIDERS.

All the free sample Web pages. Sometimes you can order more than once. And you can save money on your shoppings. The pages I use is GRATISFACTION, LATESTFREESTUFF.CO UK, LATEST DEALS.

When I come for grocery shopping I always check cashback sites: Shopmium, shopitize, click and snap and checkout smart. I get free to stuff or I get discount for the products.( after you shopping you need to upload picture with receipt). Coming home I use another app called RECEIPT HOG. Everytime I upload  picture of receipt I get entry to prize draw, a spin for free coins or just coins. It doesn't cost you anything to do all of these.

Last but not least complimentary or complaint letters/emails. Companies sending either stuff or vouchers. Well some of them they just ignore it.

If you know more ways to save money please let me  know.

I Hope you are having nice weekend.

Take care xx

New Year-New Me

Hello folks,
I hope everyone had nice and warm Christmas and good New year party. Well I did! Just returned from 2 weeks holiday  and finally got time to sit down and write this post. The cold is here, it's snowing at the minute and  I have cup of tea with some biscuits. Sugar and fat  is my enemy because everything I eat goes into my body.
So my plan and to do list is:
1. Loose weight
2. Start working
3. Plan holiday for this summer ( budget holiday). If you have any ideas please do not hesitate and write in comments section.
4. Become pregnant again
5. Save £2000 this year ( the biggest challange).

Share your plans for this year too xx

Sandra Blog: Photobox.co.uk photobook

Sandra Blog: Photobox.co.uk photobook: I registered on photobox.co.uk  because of the prints but as a new user I got FREE photobook which is going to be a Christmas gift for my...

Mince pies, holiday and mixed feelings

Today was quite  cold day so stayed inside. Cleaning looking after two princesses and waiting for some guests to arrive. Sounds like a good plan! Friend of mine arrived with Christmas theme snacks, chocolate angels and book for my elder daughter. And again the book about Christmas. This year I don't feel that Christmas is coming. The weather is I would say nice, no coldness or snow well feels like yearly spring .

My mum came from shopping and brought MINCE PIES. It looks like everyone is giving me clues about Christmas... Hahaha and yet there are gifts which are not packed. So yeah, I am not in Christmas mood YET!

I think I am more excited about upcoming holiday to hot and sunny island. I feel the dampness in the air and image myself having tan, changing clothes 3 times a day and soaking in swimming  pool.

I hope no-one feels like me nowadays xx

P.S.  forgot to add picture of MINCE PIES.
With Checkout Smart Shopping app it was for FREE.

hope you enjoy it reading it.

Christmas fever

I went to shop couple days ago and couldn't believe. People are running around. Rushing to buy last minute presents for the loved ones, buying mountains of food and after festive time binning left overs. This year I am not buying loads of food or crackers because we aren't having real Christmas dinner because we will travel :)

Coming back to shop. It was Tesco. I am very active in registering in product testing Web pages and panels. So I belong to Tesco Orchard. I registered there like 2 months ago and couple of weeks ago I received  email with invitation  to participate in campaign "TESCO PARTY FOOD". I chose party food instead of cheese and desserts. My choice of party food was:
1. Mozzarella sticks
2. JalapeƱos&mozzarella sticks
3. King prawns with tails in battery
For 3 packs of this food I paid £1  because it was on offer 3 for 2.
I was never impressed with shop brands but this time it changed my opinion. The snacks were awesome. The platter of snacks  disappeared in 5minutes. For the snacks I made 2 sauces:
1.Mayo+ketchup (mild and bland for daughter)
2. Sweet chilli for adults.
Everyone was complimenting the choice, flavours and quality of Tesco brand food.

Lavender Lavender I'm in love with you

The Cotsworld Lavender are a third generation family farm set in the Heart of the beautiful Cotswold Hills. Lavender was first planted there in 2000 in fields previously used to grow wheat and barley. Tell Cotsworld Lavender now have over 35 different varieties, some 90 miles of rows and 500,000 plants in total. Their crops are steam distilled on the farm and made into unique lavender products, all proudly made in Great Britain and none tested on animals.
Sounds good and we'll worth to visit it when lavenders are blooming and the glorious smell is in the air. BE AWARE OF BEES THOUGH!

I  have two items from them it's a lavender scent solid soap and lavender foaming bath soak.
A rich, natural palm free lavender soap  ideal for daily cleansing with natural lavender essential oils, to hydrate and moisturise your skin. A small round 25g bar is suitable for tiny hands ( I mean children) or to use for guests when they arrive. The price for one soap bar is £1.25 which is a decent price for the quality you get.

The  Cotsworld Lavender Foaming Bath Soak  is in glass jar so be careful with it. It is available in two different sizes 200ml(£6.99) or 60ml(£3.50). Add to running water for mountains of luxurious lavender scented  bubbles.

Rainy day

I woke up this morning and looked thru the windows and was devastated with what I have seen. It ws foggy and dull day. Oh well, it was only morning! It might change knowing English weather. As I am writing now it is raining. So its worse than it was in the morning. No Chritmas spirit this year at all even though behind my back is glowing Christmas tree.

Photobox.co.uk photobook

I registered on photobox.co.uk  because of the prints but as a new user I got FREE photobook which is going to be a Christmas gift for my parents in law. It took me few hours to pick best pictures of our family. In total I paid £4 for postage which is not that bad. The package came yesterday. It was packed well. My partner saw the photobook yesterday and he was impressed  with the quality and layout I made and now he wants more photobooksbiggrin
